I love me a good protein acai bowl!! It’s the pe I love me a good protein acai bowl!! It’s the perfect fuel after an intense workout because its loaded with protein, fiber, and other essential nutrients!

On top of that, it’s so much more affordable to make it ay home than buy it in a restaurant or juice shop!

Pictured was actually a delicious acai bowl I tried while in Bali!!

Summary below of my favorite ingredients:

🔹1 acai puree packet (or 2 tablespoons of acai powder)

🔹1 serving of your favorite vanilla protein powder

🔹1/2 cup of your preferred plant based milk

🔹1 frozen banana optional for thickness and added calories

🔹1/2 cup frozen berries

🔹1 tablespoon of your favorite nut butter

🔹1/3 cup of your favorite granola

🔹1 tablespoon of chia seeds

🔹1 teaspoon of honey/agave syrup/maple syrup

Steps:
1. Blend together acai, milk, and banana (if included)
2. Pour ingredients into bowl
3. Top with your favorite toppings such as the ones listed above!
4. ENJOY!

I LOVE a good diner, and the diner I went to recen I LOVE a good diner, and the diner I went to recently has high protein pancakes….WHAT! It was the perfect treat after a Sunday morning workout. They even had agave syrup!

I want to share some tips for those who are hesitant to eat out when they have certain chronic conditions or are trying to manage weight. 

✨First and foremost…it’s ok to treat yourself! We only get one life, so don’t forget to live it.

✨I like to thoroughly study a menu beforehand so I know what I’m getting into and what options work for me. It takes some of the pressure off of going out!

✨Most restaurants offer vegan, gluten free, and health conscious options on their menu! It’s the world we live in now!

✨Eat something you’re more comfortable with before going to the restaurant and get something small there if that makes you feel better! I’ve def had times where I drank a smoothie before going out and that helped me alot.

✨Call the restaurant and ask! If you don’t see gluten free options for example, sometimes they have a separate menu for that!

Since I am starting an entirely new page here from scratch, I thought I would quickly introduce myself with three fun facts. I promise to periodically sprinkle these in throughout!

1. My favorite tv show currently is Game of Thrones - can’t believe it took me so long to watch this…

2. I love going for bike rides - where I live, we have a huge biking trail that is so much fun to do especially in the fall time with the leaves changing colors.

3. If it wasn’t obvious, I love talking all things health and wellness! Particularly after I developed IBS and had severe gut health issues over the last year. Now that I have learned how to manage and actually improve my quality of life, I can’t stop talking about it! If this sounds like something you’re interested in definitely stay tuned for more!

ThatMs all for now, but I’m excited to get to know people and build a community that cares about holistic health and wellness.

Story time! I got married recently to the love of Story time! I got married recently to the love of my life. A man who has been by my side through thick and thin and who has been there for me through my health struggles. He’s always been so supportive and asking me what I needed in every moment. I am thankful and blessed to call him my husband and be able to share all of life’s special moments with him forever.

We recently went on our honeymoon. We went to Tokyo, Vietnam, and Bali and wow did it open my eyes to so much. There are so many ways to live a happy life and that is what I crave!

Also, why did my gut health issues magically disappear while I was abroad?? Something to think about for sure 😂

Anyways, here’s to more memories and love!!

How do you guys get active when you are having a rough day? 

Discipline is the key to creating lasting habits and routines. You can be motivated by wanting abs, or motivated by friends or social media, but when that all falls to the side, what’s left?

Focus on creating discipline, so when the going gets tough, you will still get up and move. Whether it’s going for a walk, or doing a body weight workout, it all goes towards your greater goals for yourself.
