Yoga is the art of coming home to you. In this day and age, it’s easy to get caught up in the routines, expectations, constant chasing, and performance culture. We’re constantly putting on a mask that says, “we’re ok”, when the truth is, we’re not. We lose ourselves along the way, never realizing the impact of these silent stressors.
Through yoga and guided meditation, I help women of color regulate stress, reconnect with their bodies, and build a life rooted in peace and alignment with their authentic selves. As a black yoga instructor, I’m creating the spaces I want to see to share this practice.

My journey back to myself started when my body stopped functioning well.
In 2021, I knew had to make a change. I was high-functioning on the outside, but anxious and disconnected on the inside. Constant stress felt normal, and as a Black woman navigating the corporate world, I felt I had to keep pushing though…until my nervous system said otherwise.
Anxiety, digestive issues, and burnout forced me to slow down.
Eventually, I found a practice that transformed the way I moved through life – yoga. Yoga became a way to slow down, listen to my body, and rebuild safety from the inside out. I had found…peace.
Through my yoga practice, nervous system healing, and intentional living, I began to experience a version of life that felt more mindful and authentic.
Now, I guide other women through that same return, not towards perfection, but towards presence. And more importantly, as a black yoga instructor, I’m creating the spaces I want to see for women of color to learn about this beautiful way of life.
Healing doesn’t happen all at once.
It takes time to undo all that we are used to and all that we were told. But it can begin with small, intentional shifts in how you breath, move, and respond to stress.
